The Australian Government conducted a public consultation as part of Phase 1 of the Kava Pilot Program to gather feedback from stakeholders, industry representatives, community groups and interested individuals.
The consultation was open from 22 February to 22 March 2019 and sought views to inform the development and implementation of the pilot.
A total of 50 submissions were received during the consultation period. Submissions from participants who provided permission for publication have been made publicly available to support transparency and inform ongoing policy development.
