What does a type 2 licence variation cover?
Type 2 licence variations are used to request changes to an existing medicinal cannabis licence under the Narcotic Drugs Act 1967.
A Type 2 variation can be used to request changes to:
- the period for which the licence is in force.
- the authorised security system for a licensed premises.
- any other licence conditions not covered by Type 1, Type 3 or Type 4 licence variations.
How to apply
To apply for a Type 2 variation:
- Sign in to the Health Business Services (HBS) portal using your organisation account.
- Select Apply for a Type 2 variation to a medicinal cannabis licence from the available transactions.
- Complete and submit the online form.
If you do not have access to HBS, register for an account and ensure you are linked to the relevant organisation before starting your application.
