Information for medical practitioners and pharmacists who need to access, prescribe or import unapproved medicines containing controlled substances in Australia. This includes medicines supplied through the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Special Access Scheme (SAS) and Authorised Prescriber (AP) pathways.
Health professionals may need approvals from both the TGA and the Office of Drug Control (ODC), depending on the medicine and the controlled substances it contains.
